New Student Reminders
Welcome to Infusion Dance. We are glad you have chosen our studio. These policies have been written to ensure that each lesson is as enjoyable and successful as possible for your child.
COMMON COURTESY
The staff @ Infusion Dance seeks to provide you with a nice and clean studio. Please respect the studio and others. After a class has ended and another class is about to start, please keep your child with you at all times. No running or playing while another class is in session. No food allowed in the studio.
MONTHLY TUITION POLICY
Tuition is due on 1st of each month. We accept cash and credit card. Tuition is the same amount each month regardless if it a 3 or 5-week month. Tuition is based on the total number of classes per season. Money is not refunded for missed lessons for any reason. Students can make up a missed class if there is a similar class offered and by request. After the 5th of the month a $10.00 late fee will be added to your account.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class. It is important that your child attends dance class every week. Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. If your dancer misses 3 or more classes in the season, they will not be allowed to participate in performances/recital. This is out of respect for the other dancers and teachers that work diligently week after week to make the performance a success. After 3 consecutive absences or 5 non-consecutive, unexcused absences, dancers will be withdrawn from the program. If allowed to rejoin the season, they will have to repay a registration fee.
DROPPING OUT DURING THE SEASON
Because our classes are choreography-based, if a student drops out of the program anytime during the middle of the season, he/she will not be allowed to come back until the next season and will lose the registration and costume fees. If a student really wants to come back during the same season because the costume was already purchased, he/she may need to schedule private sessions to catch up with the routine and to adhere to the attendance/recital policy.
OTHER POLICIES
*Tuition is not transferable to the preceding or following month, or to another student. No Refunds will be made for missed classes.
*Prorating is not allowed unless a special arrangement is made.
*During the year, there are several months that have 5 weeks (an extra class), and therefore we do not pro-rate tuition when we are closed for holidays.
*A yearly registration fee of $20-$25 is due when enrolling.
*We don't accept checks, only Credit Cards & Cash.
*Costume(s) must be purchased to participate in the Spring Recital. Costumes are $75-$85/class. Once purchased and received by the costumer, costumes are non-refundable. Once ordered but not received by the costumer, costume deposits/fees will be refunded, but will incur a $15 restocking fee (by the supplier) and $15 shipping fee. Costumes that are ordered late will have additional shipping and handling fees and cannot be guaranteed for showcase.
*Every student whose tuition/fees are paid up-to-date will have an opportunity to perform on stage and show family and friends how he or she has progressed through the year.
*Instructors determine class placement, and dancers and parents should support their decisions and selection of class placements.
*In order for a dancer to be in a higher-level class, additional training may be necessary in the form of extra classes.
*It is important for every dancer to feel like a dancer while in class. Therefore correct uniform must be worn at all times.
*No food or sodas are allowed in the dance rooms. Only water bottles are allowed in the dance rooms.
*A $50 recital fee is due in Feb. This helps to cover the cost of rehearsal and showcase space rentals, staffing, etc.
* If a student withdraws after the school year begins, they will be charged and responsible for payment of tuition unless a written request is received two weeks before the 1st day of the month.
*Infusion Dance is not responsible for lost personal items. Every first Monday of the month, items held for 30 days or more will be given to charity.
*Dance education requires “hands on” instruction as well as verbal instruction. Instructors will regularly correct dancers by touching their arms, legs, feet, hips, back and head to move them in the correct position. Instructors will also verbally correct dancers during class. Dancers will be required to know the routines and are expected to practice at home.
* For safety precautions students will be asked to remain in the lobby for a parent or guardian to pick them up. Students are asked not to leave the studio without a parent or guardian accompanying them outside.
*Observations are allowed in class during dancer's first class only. Thereafter at no time are observers to enter the classroom, as this action will interrupt the class. If there is an emergency please contact the front desk.
*Any questions of concerns regarding the policies or decisions made by the artistic director or any staff member should be addresses directly to the office, a personal appointment with that person should be requested. We ask that you address the issue as it affects you or your child individually and privately.
*A positive attitude and continued support is necessary in order for any dancer to continue the privilege of participating in the Academy’s program. If dancers chooses to have a negative attitude or cause volatile scenes in any way, they will be asked to leave the Academy.
*The Artistic Director and Instructors of Infusion Dance Academy will discuss only yours or your child’s progress and not other students progress at the Academy.
